Adopt an animal at Colchester Zoo

Adopt an animal at Colchester Zoo and you are also helping to fund our work, as well as our charity, Action for the Wild which assists conservation projects all over the world.

You can choose any of the animals at Colchester Zoo to adopt and receive a mounted photograph and information all about your new charge! Details are also included below of the opportunity to adopt a species on Colchester Zoo’s UmPhafa Nature Reserve in South Africa!

Please note that it takes at least 48 hours to process an adoption and it is then sent out by post. Please allow sufficient time for this when you place your booking. If you select an adoption scheme which includes a plaque, please allow up to 3 weeks for this to be put on the animal’s enclosure.
